There are a number of strategies fishpix members can use to win the many tournament events and the prizes available.
1. Weekly tournament event :
I. Make sure you purchase as many tickets as possible for each species and tournament you choose to participate in. The rule is one picture per ticket therefore the more tickets you purchase the more opportunities you will have to catch a bigger fish to enter in each tournament. The last thing you want to do is use your last ticket and find you just caught a bigger fish. You can enter as many fish per tournament event as you want but only the biggest one will count. You can only win one prize per weekly tournament event.
II. The more fish you enter the more bonus points you will earn that you can use to purchase great products or use towards qualifying in the monthly grand prize, regardless if you win a weekly tournaments or not. The fish you enter will also count towards your monthly standing for the Grand Prize Monthly Tournament Event (see below for details).
III. A good strategy is to focus on one specie and fish hard to win a Weekly tournament , not only will you win great prizes you will qualify to compete in the monthly tournament event and the grand prize.
2. Grand Prize Monthly Tournament Event:
Every month there is a "Grand Prize Monthly Tounament Event" that calculates prize winners based on their overall tournament performance in that month.
Each fish you enter in weekly tournaments are automatically counted towards your "Grand Prize Monthly Tournament Event" score and will be shown on your scoreboard at Fishpix. Points are scored as follows:
1st place.....100 pts. 2nd place.....95 pts. 3rd place.....90 pts. 4th place.....85 pts. 5th place.....80 pts. 6th place.....75 pts. 7th place.....70 pts. 8th place.....65 pts. 9th place.....60 pts. 10th place.....55 pts. 11th place.....53 pts. 12th place....51 pts. 13th place.....49 pts. 14th place.....47 pts. 15th place.....45 pts. 16th place.....43 pts. 17th place...41 pts. 18th place.....39 pts. 19th place.....37 pts. 20th place....35 pts. 21st place.....33 pts. 22nd place.....31 pts. 23 place.....29 pts. 24th place.....27 pts. 25th place...25 pts. 26th place to 49th place.....10 pts. 50th place to 99th place.....5 pts. 100th place and below.....2 pts.
You can accumulate more points towards your "Grand Prize Monthly Tournament Event" by entering different weekly tournaments events for different species. An example would be if you entered the Largemouth Bass Tournament and caught a 12th place bass for 51 pts and a Walleye Tournament in the same week where you caught a 3rd place walleye for 90 pts, your fish from both tournaments that week with a total score of 141 pts would count towards your monthly score. The more tournaments you enter the larger your potential monthly score could be, especially if you fish for multiple species. There is no limit to the amount of weekly events you can enter, but remember only your best fish from each weekly event will be counted towards your monthly score. You can win a prize in the weekly category as well as win the monthly grand prize.
If a week starts in one month and ends in the following month, then the latter month where the week ends marks the beginning of the new Grand Prize Monthly Tournament for scoring purposes. Some months will have 4 weeks to accumalte points over, whilst other months may have 5 weeks. Example: If a weekly tournamnet started on Friday April 29th and ended on Thursday May 5th, your tournament points accumalted in that week will be counted towards your May tournament statistics. Using a 2022 Calenday, May has 4 weekly tournaments (tournaments end on Thursdays) to accumulate your score for the Grand Prize Monthly Tournament Event for May, whilst June has 5 weekly tournaments to accumulate your score for the Grand Prize Monthly Tournament Event for June. Weekly tournaments run from Friday 12 A.M to Thursday 11:59 P.M. the following week. An easy way to determine the number of tournament events in a month is to count how many Thursdays there are in that month.
In the event of a tie the angler with best 5 fish will be considered the winner.
